McCreary Homes, a luxury home builder, has been a part of the Tucson, Arizona, community for 25 years. McCreary homes proudly supports the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Many Tucson residents may enjoy a summer vacation, but the men and women who run the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona have been working hard in order to improve their services to our neediest residents. The charity recently organized its second annual salsa cook off. The event, held on August 25th, included an auction, music, and activities. Chefs from across the Southwest shared their salsa creations with the Tucson community.

The Food Bank has also expanded its “One Can a Week” program. The program began when residents of the city’s Miles neighborhood committed to donate one item a week to the food bank. Now in its third year, the program has expanded to area businesses, who have added donation boxes to their offices. The One Can a Week program shows how many small sacrifices can quickly add up to a significant donation.
